Axxela Limited, a gas and power portfolio company in sub-Saharan Africa, has reaffirmed its commitment to efficient gas delivery and customer satisfaction as it hosted its 2025 Annual Customer Appreciation Forum.

The event, held recently in Lagos, served as a testament to Axxela’s commitment to ”nurturing the partnerships that fuel its success” and to advancing its vision for a sustainable energy future across the continent.

In a statement yesterday, Axxela said the forum was conceived as a platform to celebrate and engage with the company’s customers while showcasing the company’s “dedication” to delivering reliable and innovative energy solutions that power industries, drive growth, and strengthen economies.

Themed ‘Partnership. Possibilities. Progress’, this year’s forum was said to have been a celebration of collaboration and trust, bringing together over 200 commercial and industrial customers from across Nigeria and the West African region.

In his opening remarks, Group Chief Executive Officer of Axxela Limited, Timothy Ononiwu, emphasised the importance of sustained partnerships in driving innovation and industrial advancement.

“Our success story is deeply interwoven with the partnerships we have built over the years. This year’s forum reflects the shared purpose that drives us to consistently provide sustainable energy solutions that positively impact businesses, the environment, communities, and economies.

“As we evolve, our promise remains clear: to deliver reliable, innovative, and efficient energy to every sector, enabling industrial productivity, competitiveness, and sustainable progress for our customers and industries we serve in Nigeria and Africa. We have expanded our network of gas pipeline infrastructure, built virtual pipeline systems, and integrated power solutions to further enhance energy access for industries and commercial enterprises,” he added.

Also speaking, the Managing Director, Gas Distribution, Axxela Limited, Kehinde Alabi, highlighted the company’s focus on innovation and customer excellence, noting that Axxela’s progress was built on the strength of its relationships.

He shared the “key milestones” achieved during the year, including the award of new gas distribution licences, expansion of the company’s pipeline infrastructure, enhanced customer experience through dedicated platforms, and the attainment of nine million man-hours with zero lost-time injury.

Alabi said these achievements demonstrate Axxela’s commitment to delivering sustainable energy solutions that power industries, support business growth, and advance Nigeria’s journey towards a cleaner energy future.

One of the customers at the event, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of UAC Foods Limited, Oluyemi Oloyede, reportedly commended Axxela for its reliability and expertise, describing the company as “the best natural gas distribution company to work with.”

“Our operations are heavily energy-dependent, and finding a partner willing to journey with us, helping to manage our energy consumption both technically and commercially, is something worth celebrating. From the outset, Axxela shared our vision of transitioning from less sustainable fuels to cleaner and more efficient energy sources. Their support has been instrumental in improving our profitability and ensuring a smoother, more affordable energy supply, Oloyede was quoted as having said.

Also, the Deputy Managing Director of Tempo Paper Pack and Packaging PLC, Nasoss Sidirofagis, said, “I must commend Axxela’s honesty. They are transparent in their dealings, especially with pricing.”

According to Axxela, the event attracted business leaders and partners from sectors including manufacturing, food and beverages, pharmaceuticals, and hospitality. It served as a platform for engagement, collaboration, and reflection on shared milestones.
