Nollywood film Behind The Scenes has grossed ₦512 million at the box office, emerging as the highest-grossing Nollywood movie of 2025.

The cinema film had its advanced screening on December 10, and 11, before officially opening in cinemas nationwide on December 12.

The film’s distributor, FilmOne Entertainment, confirmed the milestone in a post shared on its Instagram page on Monday, describing the achievement as historic and thanking cinema audiences in Nigeria and Ghana for their support.

“And yet, another history has been made. Thank you, West Africa for showing up, filling cinemas, and carrying this story with love,” FilmOne said.

According to the distributor, the Funke Akindele-led production has also become the fastest Nollywood film to cross the ₦500 million mark.

“₦512M at the box office. Highest-grossing Nollywood film of 2025. Fastest Nollywood movie to hit ₦500M. Number one film of the weekend,” the statement read.

FilmOne added that the movie’s box office run reflects strong audience belief in the story and its makers.

“This is what belief looks like,” the distributor said, noting that Behind The Scenes remains in cinemas.

The film, which explores the theme of black tax, features Scarlet Gomez in the lead role, alongside an ensemble cast that includes Funke Akindele, Iyabo Ojo, Destiny Etiko, Tobi Bakre, Uche Montana, Uzor Arukwe, Ini Dima-Okojie, Adebowale ‘Mr Macaroni’, Ibrahim Chatta, Kamo State, and reality TV stars Handi and Wanni Danbaki, among others.

PUNCH Online had earlier reported that the film crossed ₦200 million in its opening weekend, becoming the first Nollywood movie in 2025 to hit the mark.

At the time, FilmOne described Behind The Scenes as the biggest opening weekend of the year, noting that it was also a five-time box office opening weekend record holder with the highest weekend admissions in 2025.
