CityBlue Hotels is expanding its footprint in Africa’s hospitality-led real estate sector with the planned launch of Diani Residences by CityBlue, a flagship mixed-use development set to redefine coastal living in Kenya.

@CityBlueHotels project, developed in partnership with Diar Group and Staroot Real Estate, will be unveiled at the Future Hospitality Summit Africa in Nairobi.

Located on approximately five acres in Diani Beach, the development will feature between 400 and 500 residential units, offering a mix of one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments tailored to both investors and lifestyle-driven buyers.

The project will operate under the “Residences by CityBlue” platform, leveraging the brand’s experience in managing hospitality-integrated residential developments across Africa.

Designed as a full-service lifestyle destination, the development will include multiple swimming pools, a fitness centre, spa facilities, conference and meeting spaces, children’s recreational areas, paddle courts, and curated food and beverage experiences anchored by a signature restaurant concept.

Jameel Verjee, Founder and CEO of CityBlue Hotels, said the project aligns with the growing appeal of Diani as a premium destination.
“Diani continues to emerge as one of East Africa’s most attractive coastal destinations. This project represents an exciting opportunity to create a vibrant, hospitality-led residential community that delivers long-term value for investors while enhancing the destination’s global appeal,” he said.

The development reflects a broader trend across Africa, where hospitality brands are increasingly entering the residential space to meet demand for integrated living experiences.
