The Chief Executive Officer of iCentra and Group CEO of CellBourn Holdings, Taopheek Babayeju, has been inducted as a chartered banker by the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria.

The induction ceremony, held on March 14, 2026, admitted more than 2,000 professionals nationwide under the theme “Smarter Banking: The Power of Artificial Intelligence.”

Babayeju, a business leader with over 25 years of cross-sector experience, has built a career spanning enterprise transformation, leadership development, and institutional strengthening.

Reacting to the recognition, he emphasised the importance of strong financial institutions in driving economic sustainability.

“Being inducted as a Chartered Banker reinforces the responsibility we all share in strengthening governance, trust, and institutional resilience within our financial system. Strong institutions are the backbone of sustainable economic growth,” he said.

Under his leadership, iCentra has delivered transformation initiatives across financial institutions, government agencies, and global development organisations. The company has expanded operations beyond Nigeria to Texas in the United States, with a contact office in London.

Babayeju also leads CellBourn Holdings, an investment group focused on finance, technology, and capital projects across Africa.

In addition to his corporate roles, he founded several impact-driven platforms, including The TAB Foundation, LeadPreneur, and ProMaCon Africa, aimed at leadership development and capacity building.

His induction into the institute further reinforces his commitment to advancing governance and accountability within Nigeria’s financial system.
