The walk, staged simultaneously in 16 states, was themed “Walk! Save! Jollof+” and drew strong participation from Baobab employees and members of the public in multiple cities. The walk blended physical wellness with financial empowerment, reinforcing Baobab’s message that sustainable living includes both healthy habits and disciplined saving.

Participants described the exercise as energising and engaging, noting the opportunity to connect with communities and introduce more Nigerians to Jollof+, Baobab Nigeria’s lifestyle-focused savings product.

Speaking on the purpose of the initiative, Chief Executive Officer of Baobab Nigeria, Eric Ntumba, highlighted the organisation’s commitment to holistic well-being. “Our fitness walk is part of our mission to promote a stable financial life and health for not just our employees alone but also the communities we reside in,” he said. “At Baobab Nigeria, we believe that taking care of both physical and financial health leads to a fuller, more balanced life. We are excited to do this because it sets us on the right path to achieving our goals both as individuals and as an organisation.”

Our fitness walk event brings that goal to life, showing our dedication to every part of our customers’ journey to success.”
