App: SoftTalk Rewards Engagement, Privacy for Content Creators

Nigerian-owned messaging app, SoftTalk Messenger, is empowering African content creators with a new monetisation programme that rewards engagement and community building while preserving users’ privacy.

Developed by Simple Azenabor, a Japan-based Nigerian software engineer, SoftTalk Messenger is fast positioning itself as Africa’s answer to global messaging giants, combining secure communication with income-generating opportunities for creators.

In a statement to introduce the monetization programme, Azenabor said group administrators and digital community leaders can now earn directly from audience engagement through the SoftTalk Creator Partner Program.

The statement read, “SoftTalk Messenger, the Nigerian-owned messaging app redefining digital communication, is making waves with its creator-first monetization program and privacy-enhanced features.

Developed by visionary Nigerian Japan-based developer, Simple Azenabor, SoftTalk Messenger is rapidly becoming the go-to platform for creators seeking income, independence, and impact.

“SoftTalk Messenger’s Creator Partner Program rewards creators for building active, engaging group chats. With earnings based on engagement scores, calculated monthly, creators can now turn conversations into sustainable income by joining the SoftTalk Creator Programme.”

“You create. You engage. You deserve to earn,” Azenabor said. “SoftTalk Creator Partner is built to honor the value creators bring to digital communities.”

On the platform’s privacy-first communication, the Nigerian developer noted, “Unlike traditional messaging platforms, SoftTalk Messenger allows users to chat and call without revealing their phone numbers. By using @usernames, creators and users alike enjoy enhanced privacy and protection from spam and identity breaches.”

He added, “SoftTalk Messenger is designed with African users in mind, solving long-standing challenges in communication, commerce, and now content creator monetization. From secure messaging to marketplace tools, the app empowers users to find and meet new friends, trade, and grow – without borders.”

The app offers multiple functionalities, including text, voice, and video calls; marketplace buy-and-sell of products and services; utility bill payments; mobile data and airtime purchases; and community building and monetization tools.

On how creators can now earn without middlemen, Azenabor said, “For creators, SoftTalk Messenger introduces a game-changing advantage: direct monetization. On many global platforms, African creators are forced to rely on foreign third-party agencies or managers to receive earnings—often losing a cut in the process. SoftTalk eliminates this barrier, allowing creators to earn and keep 100% directly from their engagement, with no intermediaries.”

“SoftTalk Messenger is for Africans and the world,” Azenabor said. “We’re giving content creators the freedom to earn without gatekeepers, and users the tools to connect securely. To check your group monetization status, create a group, go to your Group Info > Monetisation Status section.”

He continued, “Whether you’re running a virtual classroom, old schoolmates group, mentoring young professionals, religion and faith-based communities, NGOs and volunteer teams, clubs and interest groups, or building a space where people connect, share ideas and information, learn, and grow, you’re a creator. And we want to reward you for it on the SoftTalk platform.”

The SoftTalk Creator Partner Programme requires a minimum of 100 group participants. SoftTalk Messenger is available on both Apple and Android platforms and does not require phone numbers or other sensitive personal details to join.
