KingMakers, in partnership with Carven Gaming and Reach, has successfully concluded the second cohort of its E-Sports Academy Kids Programme, held over the weekend at Landmark Village, Oniru, Victoria Island.

The corporate social responsibility-driven initiative continues to empower children with digital literacy, responsible gaming education and career opportunities in the fast-growing e-sports industry.

Following the success of the inaugural edition earlier this year, the second cohort welcomed 30 additional children—including participants from the Kidsports Charity Initiative—who engaged in over five hours of interactive learning, skill development workshops and gaming tournaments.

The session ended with a prize presentation ceremony recognising the top three winners for their creativity, teamwork and performance.

Commenting on the programme, Gossy Ukanwoke, Managing Director of KingMakers, said the initiative was about creating opportunities that transform lives.

“At KingMakers, our CSR mission is about creating opportunities that transform lives. Through this programme, we are showing children that gaming is more than play—it is a pathway to learning, teamwork, discipline and even future careers. Seeing their enthusiasm and growth reaffirms our commitment to using innovation as a tool for empowerment,” Ukanwoke said.

Solomon Nnanna, Founder of Reach and Programme Organiser, expressed his excitement at the programme’s sustained impact.

“This second edition has further shown the importance of early exposure to digital learning. Over 70 children have now benefited from the E-Sports Academy, gaining knowledge and confidence that can shape their future. With KingMakers and Carven Gaming, we’re building a platform that nurtures creativity, inclusivity and responsible gaming amongst young Nigerians,” Nnanna said.

Beyond this programme, KingMakers has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to youth empowerment across education, sports and technology.

Through partnerships with organisations such as the Ojah Scholarship Foundation, The Destiny Trust Initiative and The BRIDGE Initiative, KingMakers continues to support disadvantaged youth with scholarships, mentorship and digital literacy programmes – reinforcing its vision to create lasting social impact across Nigeria.

With two successful cohorts completed in 2025, the E-Sports Academy Kids Programme will return in 2026, promising an even bigger and more structured edition to empower more children with ICT and e-sports skills, nurturing the next generation of digitally aware leaders.
