Shride Technologies has announced plans to unveil a tech-driven platform designed to make urban mobility smarter, safer, and more efficient.

In a statement on Wednesday, the firm explained that moving people, food, parcels, and medicine across Nigerian cities has been a frustrating ordeal, from endless traffic jams to unreliable delivery systems and cash-only transactions that expose users to risk.

The statement added that the platform would address these challenges.

“For years, moving people, food, parcels, and medicine across Nigerian cities has been a frustrating ordeal, from endless traffic jams to unreliable delivery systems and cash-only transactions that expose users to risk. But one Nigerian startup, Shride Technologies, is changing that narrative with a tech-driven platform designed to make urban mobility smarter, safer, and more efficient,” the statement read in part.

According to the statement, Shride combines transport, logistics, and digital payment solutions in one platform to tackle long-standing challenges in Nigeria’s delivery and ride-hailing space.

It added that the platform offers AI-powered route optimisation, cashless transactions, and a network of trained riders, known as Shriders, who handle rides, food, parcel, and pharmacy deliveries with professionalism and speed.

Speaking on the platform, the founder of Shride Technologies, Peacemark Hammed, explained that Shride was built to address key pain points in the logistics sector, including poor mapping, unreliable dispatch coordination, and safety concerns.

“Our goal is to provide a reliable, transparent, and technology-backed system that customers and riders can trust.”

He added that the company’s innovation extends beyond convenience. Through its growing rider network, Shride is creating jobs, supporting small businesses, and improving access to essential goods and services across cities. Plans are also underway to expand operations nationwide and roll out electric motorcycles as part of efforts to promote environmental sustainability.

By combining innovation with social impact, Shride Technologies is positioning itself as a leading force in Nigeria’s tech-driven mobility ecosystem, redefining how people and goods move in one of Africa’s busiest markets.
