Lexis Development Company Ltd, in partnership with Blord Group, has launched Ofunds, a mobile application designed to provide accessible fintech solutions tailored to the needs of local users.

According to the Founder of Lexis Development Company Ltd, Alexander Ogbeh, the platform aims to make basic financial services more available, especially in areas where traditional banking remains limited. “The app offers basic financial services, including cashless transactions and an ATM card request option. It is currently available on both iOS and Android platforms,” Ogbeh explained.

Though still in its early stages, he said, Ofunds has already gained over 15,000 users across Eastern Nigeria, highlighting growing interest in independent digital banking solutions. He stated that the concentration of early adopters in the region reflects a demand for fintech tools that are easy to use and locally relevant.

Ogbeh believes that the app’s early traction demonstrates the potential for fintech platforms to compete with traditional banks, close gaps in financial access, and contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s economic growth.

“Ofunds represents part of a broader mission to develop African-built fintech solutions that prioritise accessibility, simplicity, and financial inclusion for all,” he added
