Angolan energy services firm Copia Group of Companies has joined the Angola Oil & Gas (AOG) Conference and Exhibition 2026 as a Platinum Sponsor, reinforcing its commitment to supporting the country’s growing hydrocarbon sector.

The event, widely regarded as Angola’s premier oil and gas forum, will bring together government officials, investors and energy companies involved in exploration, production and infrastructure development.

Copia Group’s sponsorship highlights the role of local service providers as Angola intensifies efforts to sustain crude production above one million barrels per day while accelerating exploration and redevelopment programs.

Demand for engineering, fabrication, logistics and technical services is expected to grow as new deepwater developments, shallow-water revitalisation projects and gas monetisation initiatives advance across the sector.

Copia Group has positioned itself as a multidisciplinary provider supporting oil, gas and industrial projects, offering engineering services, construction support, project management and technical solutions.

In a previous interview with Energy Capital & Power, Adilson Mangueira Nelumba, Chairman of Copia Group, and Grildo José Francisco, the company’s Project Director for Oil, Gas and Biofuels, described the company as a strategic partner in Angola’s energy transformation.

They said the company’s growth has been driven by international partnerships, technical expertise and a focus on sustainable local development.

Beyond oil and gas services, Copia Group is also involved in major energy infrastructure projects, including the Caculo Cabaça Hydroelectric Project, which will generate 2,172 MW of electricity once completed.

The project’s first turbine is expected to begin operating in October 2026, with additional phases scheduled through 2028.

As Angola expands both upstream and downstream energy investments, Copia’s presence at AOG 2026 is expected to support new collaborations and project opportunities across the sector.
