George Gardi, the agent who brokered Victor Osimhen’s transfer from Napoli to Galatasaray, has said the striker is happy at the club despite growing interest from top European sides, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

Osimhen spent the 2024/25 season on loan with Galatasaray before joining the Turkish Super Lig champions on a permanent transfer this summer.

The Nigeria international has recently been linked with top clubs like Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, but Gardi insisted the striker is not thinking of leaving Turkey at the moment.

“Victor signed for a project, and it’s not just for a season,” Gardi told Sky Sports Germany.

“He’s happy in Istanbul, he’s on a great salary, he’s loved by millions of fans, the team is competitive in the Champions League, and he’s playing great. Why change?”

Osimhen helped Galatasaray win a domestic double last season. The 26-year-old has scored nine goals in 12 appearances across all competitions for the Yellow and Reds this season, including six goals in just three games in the Champions League.

However, the striker is currently undergoing treatment for a muscle injury sustained during the Super Eagles’ 4-3 penalty shootout defeat to DR Congo on Sunday in the 2026 Africa World Cup play-offs.

Turkish giants Galatasaray confirmed that their high-profile striker will undergo treatment for muscular ‘strain and bleeding’ following an MRI examination at the club’s Acıbadem International Hospital in Istanbul.

According to medics, ‘a strain is an injury to a muscle or a tendon (the tissue that connects muscles to bones), and it often involves damage to small blood vessels, which results in local bleeding or bruising. This is a common soft tissue injury, often caused by overuse or overstretching.’

The striker was forced off at half-time during Nigeria’s playoff final defeat, with his absence reportedly making a significant difference to the Super Eagles’ attacking threat for the remainder of the match.
