In Lagos—the city of cities where taste and style reign supreme—Heineken is celebrating 10 years of partnership with Heineken Lagos Fashion Week, a collaboration that has defined African fashion and elevated Lagos’ cultural influence on the global stage.

The celebration began with an exclusive press cocktail at Nomaada, Victoria Island, on Friday, October 24, where designers, media figures, and cultural tastemakers gathered to toast Heineken’s decade-long commitment and set the tone for the 15th anniversary edition of Lagos Fashion Week, according to a statement on Monday.

Through its “City of Cities: Where Taste Rules” campaign, Heineken is spotlighting this shared legacy—a fusion of global craftsmanship and local creativity, seamlessly blending culture, innovation, and sustainability. From the runway to the bottle, it is a story of style and purpose. This year’s edition, scheduled to be held from October 29 to November 2, will again bring together Africa’s leading designers, tastemakers, and fashion enthusiasts to showcase the continent’s unmatched creativity.

What started in 2015 as a sponsorship has evolved into a strategic partnership that has empowered African designers and expanded the continent’s creative footprint globally. As title sponsor, Heineken has consistently promoted innovation, sustainability, and collaboration, backing landmark initiatives such as the Heineken Africa Inspired Collection by designers Lulu Mutuli and Azra Walji, while amplifying African fashion on international platforms.

Heineken’s involvement extends beyond sponsorship — it has shaped conversations, bridged cultures, and inspired a movement celebrating African originality, craftsmanship, and sustainable innovation. This commitment has helped position Lagos as one of the world’s emerging fashion capitals.

Speaking on the milestone, Head of Marketing and Communications at Nigerian Breweries Plc, Sandra Amachree, said, “Heineken’s partnership with Lagos Fashion Week has always been a deliberate, long-term commitment to cultural innovation. For 10 years, we have championed sustainability, encouraged cross-industry collaboration, and supported the growth of African fashion with a vision for lasting cultural impact.”

As Heineken Lagos Fashion Week marks its 15th anniversary, Heineken raises a toast to Lagos—the City of Cities—and to a new generation of African visionaries redefining global style, taking the spirit of Lagos fashion from Africa to the world.
